The HLTAID009 CPR course teaches participants how to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies, following the latest guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). It is designed for individuals in various settings, including the community and workplaces.
Eligibility Requirements:
● Age: Minimum 18 years
● Basic English literacy and math skills
● Ability to perform CPR on the floor for 2 minutes without assistance
● Comfort with digital devices (phones, computers)
Course Structure:
● Duration: Approximately half a day for online learning, followed by 3 hours of in-person training
● Delivery Mode: Combination of online self-paced learning and classroom training
● Assessment: Written, practical, and scenario-based assessments
Key Learning Outcomes:
Participants will learn to:
● Remain calm in emergencies
● Assess safety and the need for CPR
● Call for emergency help
